Mission Statement:

Empowering the community; promoting educational advancement through the awarding of scholarships to youths, and providing youth development services through mentor ship and life skills.

Motto:

Friendship is essential to the soul. The foundation Cardinal Principles are Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift.

Events:

  1. Health Initiatives- participate and coordinate activities that promote good health practices. Some of the programs are the Charles Drew Blood Drive and partnership with the American Diabetes Association.

  2. Cut's for Kid's- free haircuts are given to kids in order to assist some families with back to school expenses.

  3. Prayer Walk- minsters, parents, children and the community perform a annual march for kids going back to school in order to have a safe school year.

  4. Domestic Violence- assist in trying to prevent domestic violence by raising awareness.

  5. Banquet- annual fundraising activity

  6. Talent Hunt- provides exposure, encouragement and financial assistance to talented young people participating in the performing arts. Winners are awarded recognition and may be given college scholarships.

  7. Social Action Programs- participate in activities that will uplift their communities. Some of the activities include: voter registration, assault on illiteracy, habitat for humanity, mentoring and participation in fundraisers for charitable organizations. 

  8. Achievement Week- is observed each November and is designed to recognize those individuals at the local levels who have contributed to community uplift.
